Saltoposuchus longipes
Taxonomy
Saltoposuchus longipes was named by Huene (1921). Its type specimen is SMNS 12596 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Burrer Quarry, Pfaffenhofen, which is in an Alaunian terrestrial sandstone/marl in the Löwenstein Formation of Germany.
It was synonymized subjectively with Saltoposuchus connectens by Sereno and Wild (1992).
