Natica flemingiana was named by Récluz (1844) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Indo-Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Polinices flemingiana by Nomura and Zinbo (1934); it was recombined as Polinices flemingianus by Majima (1989) and Okutaini (2000).
