S. N. Nielsen and D. Frassinetti 2007Shell elongate-oval, aperture more than twice as high as spire. Protoconch always eroded, seems to be scaphelloid. Teleoconch of about five whorls. Spire concave, whorls weakly shouldered, slightly convex. Low, elongate nodes on shoulder present or absent. Suture slightly depressed. Rounded spiral cords on early spire-whorls, becoming obsolete, restricted to subsutural ramp on later whorls. Interspaces equal to wider than spirals. Last whorl weakly constricted, passing into straight, wide siphonal canal. Fasciole weak. Aperture high, elliptical. Upper half of columella concave, straight below, bearing two folds. Parietal callus layer present. Height up to 120 mm.
