Taxonomy
Albula didyma was named by Röding (1798) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Pliocene-Recent; central Pacific.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Natica didyma by Philippi (1852); it was recombined as Neverita didyma by Yen (1936) and Jensen (1996); it was recombined as Glossaulax didyma by Majima (1989); it was recombined as Polinices didyma by Pilsbry and Vanatta (1908) and Wilson (2002).

  • Natica kiritaniana was named by Yokoyama (1931) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle Miocene; Japan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

    It was recombined as Neverita kiritaniana by Tanaka (1960); it was synonymized subjectively with Glossaulax didyma by Majima (1989).
