  • Natica powisiana was named by Recluz (1853) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene-Recent; Indian Ocean.]. It is extant.

    It was recombined as Natica (Polinices) powisiana by Martin (1905) and Vredenburg (1928); it was recombined as Polinices powisianus by Habe and Kosuge (1965); it was synonymized subjectively with Polinices peselephanti by Majima (1989).
