Sigatica (Glyptanatica) euglypta was named by Gardner (1947) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Florida.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 7893 - Boynton Landing [Chipola Fm], which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
