Taxonomy
Araiophyllum liasicum was named by Beauvais (1986). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is J. Bou Mokhta (2), Atlas Mountains, which is in a Pliensbachian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Morocco.
