Taxonomy
Axotrochus outitensis was named by Beauvais (1986). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is J. Outita col de Moussanoua, Atlas Mountains, which is in a Toarcian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Morocco. It is the type species of Axotrochus.
