Taxonomy
Morycastraea opoliensis was named by Morycowa (1988). It is not extant. Its type locality is Kamien Slaski, Opole, which is in a Pelsonian/Illyrian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Karchowice Formation of Poland.
