Venus (Clementia) protopapyracea was named by Vredenburg (1928) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Clementia (Clementia) protopapyracea by Tiwari and Kachhara (2003).
