Taxonomy
Rhipidosmilia moravica was named by Geyer (1955). Its type locality is Stramberk reef, Czechia, which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Stramberk Limestone Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Rhipidosmilia.
