J. A. Todd et al. 1997 | Arachnidiid with a colony varying from linear and rarely branching to compact and densely branching, covering much of the substrate. Branches fairly straight, distally budded, termination due to collisions frequent. Autozooids pear-shaped to an elongate tear-shape in outline; poorly differentiated, with a cauda of negligible to three-quarters capitulum length. Distal and distolateral pore chambers present. Cystid appendages absent. Frontal wall moderately to highly inflated; smooth; when compressed during immuration may display distinct, depressed marginal areas. Peristome present as a slightly raised rim around an open circular to sub-circular orifice situated at four-fifths to five-sixths of capitulum length. Triangular abutment kenozooids frequent. Polarity loss absent. |
