Taxonomy
Plinthokonion psamminon was named by Landing and Bartowski (1996). Its type specimen is NYSM 15601, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is E-Bar-2.8 - Keeler's Eskimo Bar ice cream stand, which is in a Dyeran slope siltstone in the Browns Pond Formation of New York.

Description. -Tubes composed of fine- to medium-grained quartz sand, cross-section elliptical; most tube fragments neither taper nor show an apparent, preferred arrangement of grains; "apertural" flare present on some larger tubes.
