Prionastraea langobardica was named by Stoppani (1857). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Rhabdophyllia langobardica by Stoppani (1865); it was recombined as Parathecosmilia langobardica by Turnsek (1997); it was recombined as Retiophyllia langobardica by Roniewicz and Michalík (1998) and Kiessling (2014).
