Taxonomy
Pecten subcorneus was named by d'Archaic and Haime (1854) [DISTRIBUTION: Early Miocene; Pakistan]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Pecten (Amussium) subcorneus by Vredenburg (1928); it was recombined as Amussium subcorneum by Azzaroli (1958).
