Venus aglaurae was named by Brongniart (1823) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene; Italy, Pakistan.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Omphaloclathrum aglaurae by Sacco (1900); it was recombined as Venus (Omphaloclathrum) puerpera aglaurae by Vredenburg (1928); it was recombined as Antigona aglaurae by Eames (1950).
