Taxonomy
Cardium coosense was named by Dall (1909) [DISTRIBUTION: Miocene; Oregon.]. It is extant. Its type specimen is USNM 153933, a shell.

It was recombined as Clinocardium coosense by Keen (1936) and Keen (1954); it was recombined as Keenocardium coosense by Kafanov (1980); it was recombined as Ciliatocardium coosense by Kafanov (2002).
