Occitanomys neutrum

Taxonomy
Occitanomys neutrum was named by de Bruijn (1976) [Genus designation with a questionmark]. Its type specimen is IVAU PI 262, a tooth (M1 sup. dext.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Chomateri, which is in a Miocene fluvial siltstone/claystone in the Pikermi Formation of Greece.

H. de Bruijn 1976A small Occitanomys-like murid of about the same size as Occitanomys sondaari Van der Weerd 1976. t4 and t8 of M1 are not connected by a ridge. t1 bis is absent in M1 and M2. The anterocentral cusp of m1 is small and lower than the paired anterconid cusp.
