Russellmys denisae
Taxonomy
Russellmys denisae was named by Estravís (1990). Its type specimen is SV3-249, a maxilla (Left maxilla with M2 and fragments of M1 and M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Silveirinha clay pit, which is in an Eocene crevasse splay conglomerate/siliciclastic in the Silveirinha Formation of Portugal. It is the type species of Russellmys.
