R. D. Hoare et al. 1972 | Valves small, short and narrow. Intermediate valves either lacking a jugal sinus or having only a very shallow one, jugum relatively broad ending in a short to pronounced apex, jugal areas and lateral areas not set off from jugum and valve surface curves from mid-line with a uniform convexity to lateral margin. Tail valve equidimensionally trianglar, anterior margin straight to slightly concave, narrow keel along entire mid-line and lacking a mucro termination, lateral slopes steep and concave to straight, anterolateral margins sharply rounded and underside of posterior margin ridged by coalescence of coarse granules parallel to valve margin. Sutural laminae well developed and narrow. Surface ornamentation of very fine granules arranged in quincunx. Girdle unknown.
Estimated length and width of a reconstructed specimen are 21.0 mm and 4.5 mm respectively. Measurements of individual valves are given in Table 1. |
