Eumyarion bifidus
Taxonomy
Cotimus bifidus was named by Fahlbusch (1964). Its type specimen is BSPG 1959 II 245, a tooth (left upper M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sandelzhausen gravel pit, which is in a Langhian fluvial-lacustrine marl/mudstone in the Upper Freshwater Molasse Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Eumyarion bifidus by Mein and Freudenthal (1971) and Wu (1982).
