It was assigned to Scaphandridae by Woodring (1928); to Atyidae by Gardner (1948), Olsson and Harbison (1953), MacNeil (1960) and Rippingale and McMichael (1961); to Haminoeidae by Jensen (1996) and Todd (2001); and to Cephalaspida by Sepkoski (2002).
