Palaeotringa littoralis

Taxonomy
Palaeotringa littoralis was named by Marsh (1870). Its type specimen is YPM 830, a limb element (distal left tibiotarsus with the internal condyle lacking), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waln marl pit, Hornerstown, which is in a Maastrichtian marginal marine marl in the Hornerstown Formation of New Jersey. It is the type species of Palaeotringa.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Cracraft (1972).
