Sinocalliopteryx gigas
Taxonomy
Sinocalliopteryx gigas was named by Ji et al. (2007). Its type specimen is JMP-V-05-8-01, a skeleton (complete skeleton), and it is a compression preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Hengdaozi, Sihetun, which is in a Barremian/Aptian terrestrial siltstone in the Yixian Formation of China.
