Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
J. Gründel and A. Nützel 2012The shell has cylindrical shape. The whorls embrace just below the subsutural ramp. The aperture is high and narrow (mostly ¾ or more of total shell height). The spire is low. The whorls have a subsutural ramp with a rounded edge as transition to the almost straight flanks. A spiral furrow below the ramp is lacking or very weak. The base is convex and has an evenly rounded transition to the whorl flanks. The whorls are smooth or weakly ornamented with strengthened growth lines, spiral striae or spiral threads on the base. The growth lines run weakly prosocyrt on the whorl flanks and the base. They run opisthocline and opisthocyrt on the ramp. The aperture is very high and narrow. It is especially narrow in its adapical part and somewhat broadened and rounded abapically. The outer lip is straight; the columellar lip is commonly somewhat broadened. There are no columellar folds. The protoconch (though unknown from the type species) is heterostrophic.
