Taxonomy
Mesofavosites pulchrum was named by Volkova et al. (1978). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Sakkyryr River, Sette Daban Mountains, unit 14, which is in an Ashgill reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Baraniy Formation of the Russian Federation.
