Epistroboceras pitkinense

Epistroboceras pitkinense was named by Niko and Mapes (2005) [Stroboceras (Epistroboceras) sp., Gordon, 1964, p. 147.
Epistroboceras sp., Niko and Mapes, 2004, p. 341.]. Its type specimen is OUZC 5102, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 2. Road cut on the southern side of AR-Highway 66, ~1 km northeast of, which is in a Chesterian reef, buildup or bioherm grainstone/packstone in the Pitkin Formation of Arkansas.
