Meandraraea meandriformis was named by Morycowa (1971). It is not extant. Its type locality is Valea Seaca, Rarau area, NE Romania, which is in an Aptian shallow subtidal marl in Romania.
It was recombined as Meandrophyllia meandriformis by Baron-Szabo (2009).
