Taxonomy
Tyrganolithes stellatus was named by Sharkova (1981). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Khabtagai-Ula, Eastern Gobi, which is in an Eifelian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Khabtagai Formation of Mongolia.
