Taxonomy
Eupleura olssoni was named by Vokes (1989) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene; Ecuador.]. Its type specimen is USNM 445402, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is TU 1507 - Punta Verde [Angostura Fm], which is in a Miocene coastal siliciclastic in the Angostura Formation of Ecuador.
