Taxonomy
Eupleura prenitida was named by Vokes (1989) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene; Panama.]. It is extant. Its type specimen is USNM 445390, a shell. Its type locality is TU 958 - Cativa [lower Gatun Fm], which is in a Tortonian coastal siltstone in the Gatun Formation of Panama.
