J. R. Laurie 1986Sclerite very variable in shape, ranging from laterally compressed crescentic to vaguely semicircular, with apertural margin straight or concave. In compressed specimens (Fig. 9B, C) apex of crescent truncate and rotated about 30 degrees relative to long narrow aperture. In other specimens shape is less regular, aperture is broad, almost equidimensional. External ornament consis" of coarse, irregular growth lamellae. Interior of sclerite smooth or irregularly undulatory
