Taxonomy
Corbula aequivalvis was named by Philippi (1836) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; circum-Caribbean.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Corbula (Juliacorbula) aequivalvis by Weisbord (1964) and Jung (1969); it was recombined as Juliacorbula aequivalvis by Hendy et al. (2008).
