Tenuicorbula tenuis

Taxonomy
Corbula tenuis was named by Sowerby (1833) [DISTRIBUTION: Recent; Eastern Pacific.]. It is extant. Its type locality is UCMP 3030, Fourth and Hill Streets, Los Angeles, which is in a Piacenzian marine claystone in the Fernando Formation of California. It is the type species of Corbula (Tenuicorbula).

It was recombined as Corbula (Tenuicorbula) tenuis by Olsson (1932), Jung (1965) and Keen (1971); it was recombined as Tenuicorbula tenuis by Anderson and Roopnarine (2003).
