Taxonomy
Trochosmilia stainbrooki was named by Wells (1933). It is not extant. Its type locality is Three Lakes, which is in an Albian marine horizon in the Kiamichi Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Rennensismilia stainbrooki by Turnsek et al. (2003).
