Rohr et al. 2008Gastropods with moderately high-spired, dextrally coiled, phaneromphalous shell bearing long, hollow, non-tapering spines below midwhorl; hollow spines open at distal end, but except for youngest spine, they are not connected to the shell interior; aperture circular; shell ornament on most species consists of distinct collabral costae on upper and basal whorl surfaces.
