Muregina marijkeae was named by DeVries (2005) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Pliocene; Peru. COMMENTS: Type specimen and dimensions based on first listed syntype.]. Its type specimen is OSU 37552, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
