Taxonomy
Reithroparamys ctenodactylops was named by Korth (1984). Its type locality is UW locality V-60008, which is in an Eocene fluvial siliciclastic in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Tuscahomys ctenodactylops by Dawson and Beard (2007) and Strait et al. (2016).
