Cytherea suberycinoides was named by Deshayes (1825) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Meretrix suberycinoides by Morellet and Morellet (1944); it was recombined as Macrocallista suberycinoides by Tracey et al (1995); it was recombined as Costacallista suberycinoides by Le Renard and Pacaud (1995).
