Turritella lagunillasensis was named by Rivera (1957) [DISTRIBUTION: Middle-Late Eocene. COMMENTS: Type specimen and dimensions based on neotype; holotype lost.]. Its type specimen is MUSM INV 94, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil.
