Trochus euryomphalus was named by Jonas (1844) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Chile.]. It is extant.

It was recombined as Tegula euryomphala by Carcelles and Williamson (1951); it was recombined as Chlorostoma euryomphalum by DeVries (2007).

Synonyms
  • Trochus kieneri was named by Hupé (1854) [DISTRIBUTION: Pleistocene-Recent; Peru-Chile.]. It is extant.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Chlorostoma euryomphalum by DeVries (2007).
