Chlorostoma quipua was named by DeVries (2007) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene-Early Pliocene; Peru. COMMENTS: Type specimen and dimensions based on first syntype.]. Its type specimen is UWBM 97876, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
