Taxonomy
Eothyris parkeyi was named by Romer (1937). Its type specimen is MCZ 1161, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tit Mountain, 21 (Belle Plains Formation), which is in an Artinskian terrestrial claystone/limestone in the Belle Plains Formation of Texas.
