Ophiacodon major
Taxonomy
Ophiacodon major was named by Romer and Price (1940). Its type specimen is AMNH 4109, a set of vertebrae, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Maybelle, which is in a Leonardian terrestrial horizon in the Waggoner Ranch Formation of Texas.
