Dimetrodon grandis

Taxonomy
Theropleura grandis was named by Case (1907). Its type specimen is AMNH 4034 (not 4130-4134, as erroneously stated by Case, 1907), a set of postcrania (vertebrae and pelvic elements), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Beaver Creek, 42 (Arroyo Formation), which is in a Kungurian terrestrial claystone/sandstone in the Arroyo Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Dimetrodon grandis by Romer and Price (1940) and Reisz (1986).
