Pleurotoma terebralis gyrata was named by Edwards (1857) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Ancistrosyrinx terebralis gyrata by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995); it was recombined as Cochlespira gyrata by Powell (1966) and Jeffery and Tracey (1997).
