Lucina inornata was named by Deshayes (1857) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Phacoides (Parvilucina) inornata by Cossmann and Pissarro (1904); it was recombined as Phacoides inornatus by Morellet and Morellet (1945); it was recombined as Parvilucina inornata by Piccoli and Savazzi (1983); it was recombined as Nevenulora inornata by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995).
