Thamnosia phragmophora
Taxonomy
Thamnosia phragmophora was named by Cooper and Grant (1975) [Includes specimens described as Productus arcticus Whitfield, in King (1931)]. Its type specimen is USNM 151462b, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM706d, Hess Canyon, Glass Mountains, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Word Formation of Texas.
