Thamnosia depressa
Taxonomy
Dictyoclostus depressus was named by Cooper (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 115467, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM806k, Cerros de los Monos, El Antimonio, Sonora, which is in a Wordian marine limestone in the Antimonio Formation of Mexico.
It was recombined as Thamnosia depressa by Cooper and Grant (1975), Wardlaw (1977) and González-Arreola et al. (1994).
