Milosaurus mccordi
Taxonomy
Milosaurus mccordi was named by DeMar (1970). Its type specimen is FMNH 701, a partial skeleton (pelvis, hind limb and pes, caudal vertebrae), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Falmouth Locality, which is in a Stephanian/Virgilian lacustrine deltaic mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Mattoon Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Milosaurus.
